“What is life? It is the flash of a firefly in the night. It is the breath of a buffalo in the winter time. It is the little shadow which runs across the grass and loses itself in the Sunset.”
As a biologist and photographer, I had the chance to work in many places all over the world, but very few offer such amazing light as North. From the never-ending sunset of the winter to the northern lights that enlighten the night, lights of the north always offer something new to discover. Every day, light change and slightly modify the landscape, carving shadows and coloring the nature. There are no simple days when we open ourselves to the impermanence and the beauty of light.
I spend most of my time chasing lights from the coldest dark night of the winter to the warmest day of the summer. I have never managed to get tired of it.
